Now a day almost of all the graduates are wait for the better employment and the students who come up with a Bipc background those who didn’t get succeed in getting a seat whether in the EAMCET or NEET are facing major problems in their education filed due to lack of courses offered by the government. So to redresel this problem central government has given an approval to some recognized universities for the initiation of innovative courses named as Bachelor of vocational Degree in all the sectors under UGC recognization. By keeping this in view Pydah group of institutions offering Bachelor of vocational degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and Food Technology for providing skill based education to the students under Adikavi Nannya University.

About Pydah group:

Pydah group is contributing a lot for education by establishing various educational institutions with an object of lighting the lamp of knowledge among the learners. Pydah group believes that knowledge is power. Pydah group established its first educational institution Sri P.V. R High school at Draksharamam in 1953. In 2007 Pydah college of pharmacy was established and it become a jewel in the crown of Pydah educational group and the institute came into existence to extend the rich experience of Pydah group in education to the field of pharmacy. In 2009 Pydah college of Engineering was established which is affiliated to JNTU Kakinada, approved by AICTE, New Delhi is yet another jewel in the crown of Pydah group of educational institution. In 2011 to provide more opportunities for higher education M. Tech and M. Pharm courses were established. In 2018 Pydah group of institutions has come up with a new innovative and technical courses so called Bachelor of vocational Degree (three years professional degree) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and Food Technology for providing skill based education and to increase the opportunities for higher education and for better employment.

Course profile:

A Bvoc (Bachelor of vocational course) programme aims at imparting education that builds specific job skills in students so that they can serve the industries better. A Bvoc course is most appropriate for candidates who want to enhance their employment opportunities by focusing on courses that impart more practical training rather than theoretical knowledge.

Course curriculum for Bvoc:

Pydah group of institutions offering bvoc courses with the affiliation of Adikavi Nannya University under UGC recognization. The duration of the course is three years divided into six semesters. The course curriculum of BVoc is industry – based which contains about 40% general education (theory) and 60% vocational training (practical) components. This means that apart from studying the regular curriculum, all students need to undergo industrial training or project work for at least four to eight weeks in every semester.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates are eligible to apply for Bvoc courses if they have successfully completed class 10+2 from a recognized board with minimum 50-60% marks and also the students who have completed Diploma in Agriculture Horticulture, Fisheries are eligible for this course.

Bvoc agriculture:

India is principally an agricultural country. Agriculture, with its allied sectors, is unquestionably the largest livelihood provider in India. Most of the industries also depend upon the sector for their raw materials. This sector provides approximately 52% of total number of available jobs in India and contributes around 18% to the GDP. The main aim of introducing this Bachelor’s degree programme in Agriculture is to train the students to improve Agriculture productivity, manage products and contribute to future development of the sector through research activities.
