The generic mindset of India society is to go academic bachelor's degree. B. Voc (or) Bachelor of vocation studies is different from other undergraduate courses. The course is introduced by the University Grants Commission with the objective to impart adequate knowledge and skills for employment and entrepreneurship to graduates of the higher education system. The Weightage of practical studies is more than theoretical. Precisely 40% theory & 60% practical studies. The University Grants Commission [UGC] had launched a scheme on 27 February 2014 for skills development based higher education as a part of college/University education, leading to B. Voc degree with multiple entry and exit options at diploma/ advanced P. G diploma level under the National Skill Qualification Framework [NSQF] . Considering the implementation modalities, the guideline of the scheme have been revised in year 2015.

The students who have enrolled in B. Voc courses appreciate the practical focous and are confident that their chance of getting a suitable job are higher than other graduate. There courses are expected to comply with NSQF and financially aided by UGC. B. Voc students are eligible for any competitive exams were degree is a criteria University Grants Commission has already issued a circular regarding this. B. Voc graduates could go for Master’s Degree in vocational. M. Voc is a relatively new courses. This courses were introduced by the University Grant Commission [USC] with the aim to developing the quality of vocational education in India for B. Voc graduates.

B. Voc course belong to Undergraduate level, M. Voc course belongs to Postgraduate level. If you have done Bachelor’s of vocational with greater than 50% markes then you are eligible to seek admission in MBA. The MBA in Agribusiness is offered in several Agriculture University and ICAR institutions. The minimum qualification required to purse MBA in agribusiness in four years Bachelor's degree in agriculture and other releated areas like horticulture, dairy, veterinary, and so on. The general University/ Instituties also started MBA programme where in 3year degree student can enroll in the MBA programme , but every university has its own admission procedures.

The difference between the BSC and BVOC is The traditional degrees like B.Sc is more academic in nature. ... If your aim is to do Masters and a PhD in a particular subject, you should go for a BA or a BSc. But if you need working knowledge of a subject, a B. Voc degree is always a better option because on-the-job experience is a part of the course.

Objectives for the BVoc courses:

1) To provide judicious mix of skills relating to a profession and appropriate

content of General Education.

2) To ensure that the students have sufficient knowledge and skills, so that

they are work ready at each exit point of the programme.

3)To provide flexibility to the students by means of pre-defined entry and multiple exit points.

4) To integrate NSQF within the undergraduate level of higher education in order to enhance employability of the graduates and meet industry requirements. Such graduates apart from meeting the needs of local and national industry are also expected to be equipped to become part of the global workforce.

5) To provide vertical mobility to students coming out of 10+2 with vocational subject.

Curriculum of Bvoc courses:

The curriculum is a suitable mix of General Education and Skill Development components. The General Education components emphasize and offer courses which provide entire development. The focus of Skill Development components is to equip students with appropriate knowledge, practice and attitude, so as to become work ready. While designing the curriculum of Skill Development components, adequate attention has been given to practical work, industrial visit, internship, development of student portfolios and project work.
